Here are three things that homebuyers are looking for these days.

With more people spending more and more time at home recently, here are the three biggest ways that homebuyer preferences have changed:

1. Storage space. Buyers want lots of storage. Custom built-ins are worth consideration. Although they’re not cheap, they’re still a great investment and I'm seeing more and more each day.

"Don’t be afraid to get creative with your layout."

2. Work-from-home space. A lot of us are working at home a lot more, if not full-time. If your home has a dedicated office space, it’s very appealing to today’s buyers. If you don’t have one, don’t fret, because we can be creative with your space to carve out an office space. After all, people just want good lighting and an aesthetically pleasing background.

3. Outdoor space. We look forward to warmer weather ahead, and outdoor spaces have never been more important. We are all craving fresh air and the ability to socialize with friends and family. Don’t be afraid to get creative with your layout or install permanent outdoor fixtures that add value like an outdoor kitchen or firepit.

If you have any questions for me about what buyers are looking for these days or anything else related to real estate, don’t hesitate to reach out via phone or email. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
